This plenary session will update the diagnosis and management of unique pathologic processes of the temporomandibular joint. It will cover diverse benign and malignant neoplastic processes, as well as exclusive non-neoplastic diagnoses, with an emphasis on surgical treatment.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Describe the diverse array of benign and malignant neoplastic and non-neoplastic process of the temporomandibular joint region.
  2. Explain the diagnostic methods utilized in the workup of patients with benign and malignant tumors and other pathologic processes of the temporomandibular joint.
  3. Recognize the various surgical modalities utilized in the management of pathologic processes of the temporomandibular joint.
