An OMS’s outcomes rely not only on the technical aspects of treatment but also on communication with patients, especially in cases of adverse outcomes. The digital world enables e-communication through online platforms, social media and AI, posing challenges and legal ramifications for patient-doctor communication. This session will review current literature and discuss the communication skills necessary to improve outcomes and avoid pitfalls in today’s world, including the do’s and don’ts of patient-doctor communication.
