Common and often undiagnosed, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) can have a devastating effect on the health and quality of life of patients. After early detection, comprehensive evaluation and detailed treatment planning can provide much needed surgical care for OSA patients. This session is designed to review standard and novel techniques in the assessment of the airway with an emphasis on imaging and drug-induced sleep endoscopy.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Select and implement imaging modalities required for comprehensive airway evaluation in patients with OSA.
Provide a comprehensive classification of the airway during a drug-induced sleep endoscopy.
Perform a clinical examination as it pertains to treatment planning for OSA.
