This session will delve into the cutting-edge use of hypoglossal nerve stimulators (HNS) to manage obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The focus will be on understanding how HNS devices function by stimulating the hypoglossal nerve to keep the airway open during sleep. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how HNS can serve as a viable alternative for patients who cannot tolerate continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy, ultimately leading to improved patient adherence and quality of life.
