This session will review the often-debated topic of guided versus non-guided full-arch surgery. The lecture will emphasize the advantages that freehand surgery provides the full-arch surgeon and will help provide the practitioner the confidence and clinical techniques to consistently execute it at a high level. Key topics include: The benefits of developing freehand full-arch skills and techniques, necessary instrumentation, treatment planning for freehand full-arch cases, denoting/marking intraoperative ID points using the graphite-guided technique, selecting and correlating radiographic and clinical reference points for intraoperative use, and management of the edentulous arch from a freehand perspective.
