This session will explore the multifaceted challenges and treatment approaches related to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Topics will include treatment planning for patients with facial deformities and TMJ dysfunction, advanced reconstruction strategies following resection of invasive lesions, the use of custom TMJ prostheses to restore function and form, and the role of advanced arthroscopic techniques in diagnosing and managing TMJ synovitis.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the role of advanced arthroscopic techniques in diagnosing and treating TMJ synovitis, including the identification of intra-articular pathology and targeted approach.
  2. Select appropriate treatment plans in patients with concomitant facial deformity and TMJ dysfunction.
  3. Recognize the indications and challenges of TMJ resection in cases involving invasive lesions.
