Dr. Radhika Chigurupati is an Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ( OMFS) at Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Boston University, and an Attending Surgeon at Boston Medical Center. She received her degree in Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and Masters of Science in Global Health Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco, CA, USA. She completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at University of Washington (UW), Seattle and subsequently a fellowship in Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne, Australia.
She has practiced for more than 20 years and trained more than 75 OMFS residents at various institutions University California San Francisco; University of Maryland and, at Boston University.
She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, contributing to the body of knowledge in areas such as obstructive sleep apnea, pediatric maxillofacial surgery, and craniofacial trauma. She is a reviewer for multiple scientific journals including the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
She has served as Chair of the Clinical Interest Group (CIG) – Orthognathic Surgery and Obstructive Sleep Apnea for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and, as chair of Oral Examination Committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS). She is a member of several prestigious organizations including AAOMS, IAOMS, ACPA, ABOMS, MSOMS, AACMFS, including the American Society of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Chigurupati has delivered numerous invited lectures and presentations at international, national, and regional conferences and workshops, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) annual meetings and various international symposia.
