Dr. Konstantinia Almpani (D.D.S., M.Sc.) was awarded her D.D.S. degree in 2005 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dental school. She worked a general dentist in the United Kingdom for 3 years before returning to Aristotle University to complete a 3.5-year residency leading to an M.Sc. in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. In the interim, she also acquired a certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation from the New York University, School of Dentistry. She moved to the US in 2014 and worked as a visitor research scholar and later as a research assistant at the Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, MA. During this time, she conducted basic, clinical and translational research at the Applied Oral Sciences department in the field of bone biology. In 2018 she was accepted in the Clinical Dental Research Fellowship program of the National Instritutes of Health, which she completed in 2021. Since then she has been working as an Assistant Research Physician and is part of the Craniofacial Development and Regeneration Section in the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
