Marcus Allen Crayton, DDS (PGY-4) is a native of Chicago, Illinois' South Side. He completed his undergraduate education at the historic Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. During his time at Fisk, he became a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, through the Eta Psi Chapter and earned his Bachelors of Arts in Biology.
Dr. Crayton continued his academic journey at Meharry Medical College, where he first earned a Masters of Health Science with honors from the School of Graduate Studies. He subsequently matriculated to the School of Dentistry. As a dental student, he was recognized for his academic excellence with annual placement on the Dean’s List, induction into the prestigious Omicron-Omicron Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He graduated from Meharry Summa Cum Laude with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2022.
Dr. Crayton currently serves as Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital, where he leads clinical teams, mentors junior residents, and participates in complex surgical care and academic instruction.
Outside of his clinical duties, he enjoys cycling, traveling, and watching sports with friends and family.
