Dr. Daisy Chemaly, DMD, MDent, FRCDC, President and Chair of the Foundation of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CAOMS), is a dedicated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon providing comprehensive care across the full scope of her specialty.
Dr. Chemaly completed her Doctorat en Médecine Dentaire (DMD) with honours at Laval University and pursued surgical residency at the University of Manitoba, where she earned her Master of Dentistry (MDent) thesis degree in Oral Cancer. Furthering her specialization, she undertook a fellowship in cleft lip and palate surgery at the Centre Hospitalier de Nantes, France.
Returning to Toronto after her training, Dr. Chemaly has contributed to the education of future dentists at the undergraduate level and established a private surgical practice in the Kingsway area, focused on thorough patient care. She holds hospital staff positions at the Peterborough Regional Health System (PRHC), William Osler Health System (WHO), and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where she is involved in the graduate program. Her commitment to professional growth is evident through her participation in a Spear Study Club in Etobicoke.
Dr. Chemaly has contributed to the professional literature and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) in her specialty. She has also served as past president of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Chemaly enjoys travelling, swimming, playing tennis, and spending quality time with her family.
