Before the patient meets the oral and maxillofacial surgeon, they interact with many team members and often base their opinions on the quality of care and their decisions to accept treatment on their interactions with the dental team. This session will help OMSs and their teams enhance teamwork and communication, improving patient care and team performance. It will emphasize the importance of team enhancement and creating a positive work environment.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the teamwork model.
  2. Develop measurement tools to enhance performance.
  3. Implement techniques to improve team collaboration.
  4. Review team compensations and team incentives.
