This session will discuss pediatric soft- and hard-tissue lesions of the head and neck and review clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment and reconstruction.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Identify head and neck pathology in the pediatric population.
  2. Obtain appropriate diagnosis through proper biopsy principles and preoperative management.
  3. Recognize how surgical intervention may impact the child’s growth and development.
  4. Discuss reconstruction techniques to use in a growing patient and possible complications.
  5. Function as a resource to communities and be the referral base for medical and dental providers.
