The treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) requires a multidisciplinary approach. The OMS is well positioned to offer the full scope of surgical therapy for OSA patients. An overview will highlight a data-driven algorithmic approach to clinical decision-making in OSA surgery. This session will discuss how to efficiently interpret a sleep study, clinically evaluate a patient and use office drug-induced sleep endoscopy to finalize the surgical prescription for optimal results.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Define the critical portions of the sleep study and accurately interpret it to determine surgical candidacy.
  2. Describe the clinical assessment tools available to create a surgical treatment plan.
  3. Recognize critical points of each operation the OMS uses to treat OSA to maximize success.
