This session will review various osteotomies including maxillomandibular advancement with alterations to traditional orthognathic surgery techniques, distraction osteogenesis/maxillary expansion, genioglossus advancement, inverted L mandibular ramus osteotomy and custom total joint replacement as means to increase the size of the airway and thus improve breathing/obstructive sleep apnea.

Recognize the indication for various osteotomies in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
Describe modifications to osteotomies for increasing airway volume when compared to traditional orthognathic surgery osteotomies.
Explain the ways virtual surgical planning can help deliver more precise outcomes to the surgical patient.
