Orbital fractures are common and challenging to treat. This session will review traditional approaches, the transantral approach, novel uses for CAD-CAM technology and combination approaches. These techniques are accessible with the skillsets that OMSs possess. Guiding principles for selecting and prescribing these approaches based on various situations also will be provided.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Describe the bony landmarks of the deep orbit and how to use them to execute the orbital reconstruction.
  2. Explain the use of a transantral approach to orbital floor reconstruction.
  3. Describe novel uses for patient-specific guides and hardware for difficult orbital defects.
