Vincent Milantoni is a Doctor of Dental Surgery candidate (Class of 2028) at the University of Toronto with a strong background in clinical research and scholarly publication. He has presented at surgical national and international meetings. At AAOMS 2025, he will present his poster, Trends in the Quality of Evidence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: A 20-Year Systematic Review.
Before dental school, Vincent served as a Clinical Research Assistant at McMaster University’s Department of Surgery, contributing to multi-centre randomized controlled trials and prospective cohort studies. His work encompassed protocol development, data collection, statistical analysis, and manuscript preparation, giving him comprehensive experience across the research lifecycle.
Outside of academics, Vincent is engaged in the Faculty of Dentistry’s student life, serving on the Dental Student Society Council and holding leadership roles in the Xi Psi Phi Omicron Chapter dental fraternity. He is also an active member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee at the Univeristy of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. Furthermore, he actively participates in extracurricular athletics, including intramural sports and serving as captain of the McMaster University varsity lacrosse team during his undergraduate studies.
Looking ahead, Vincent aspires to complete specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and contribute to the advancement of evidence-based surgical practice through high-quality clinical research. His participation in the AAOMS 2025 Annual Meeting reflects his ongoing commitment to integrating clinical excellence with research to improve patient outcomes.
