Dr. Mark A. Green is currently an assistant professor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He obtained his dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and his medical degree from Harvard Medical school. He completed his oral and maxillofacial residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and is currently full time faculty in the Plastic and Oral Surgery Department at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Green has contributed to multiple book chapters and has several published articles in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Green’s clinical and research interests include orthognathic surgery, pediatric pathology and trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia and dental implants. He works closely with the Cleft and craniofacial team and Vascular Anomalies Center at Boston Children's Hospital. He also leads maxillofacial reconstruction efforts for patients with pediatric head and neck pathology at Dana Farber Cancer institute. He is the OMFS residency site director at Boston Children's Hospital for the Massachusetts General Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial surgery program and serves as the chair for the Executive Sedation Committee at Boston Children's Hospital. He has many ongoing research interests including outcomes studies for orthogonathic surgery, pediatric maxillofacial pathology and patients with cleft lip and palate.
