Braedon Gunn is a fourth-year dental student at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, with a strong academic focus and career interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has pursued extensive clinical and research experiences aimed at deepening his understanding of surgical care and advancing patient outcomes.
Braedon’s research focuses on 3D segmentation technology and its applications in orbital fractures and preformed orbital implants. His work involves processing CT data to generate detailed 3D models used to evaluate preformed orbital implants and improve surgical planning. This project reflects his interest in combining digital innovation with clinical care to enhance surgical efficiency and patient outcomes.
Outside the clinic and classroom, Braedon remains a member of professional organizations such as the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Braedon has deepened his understanding of the specialty through externships, gaining valuable hands-on experience and insight into the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Following graduation in 2026, Braedon plans to pursue a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is committed to providing patient-centered care and aims to make meaningful contributions to the field throughout his career.
