Prof. Dr. Dr. Max Heiland is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Charité Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. Before he was leading the Department of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
He is elected Board Member of the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He carries out most aspects of general Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery but his main focus is Head and Neck Cancer and Reconstruction, Trauma and Orthognatic Surgery. His current research projects are in the field if patient-specific implants, biomaterials and biomechanics and head and neck oncology. He is author of numerous scientific publications.
