Participants will rotate through multiple stations that include airway management, intubation, venipuncture, defibrillation, preparation of emergency drugs and mini-code. In addition, the registrants will be exposed to various airway adjuncts, critical cardiac dysrhythmias and defibrillation, and the use of the peak flow meter and glucometer. The course has been developed and is taught by members of the AAOMS Committee on Anesthesia.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Recognize airway obstruction and describe its management.
  2. Utilize the principal airway adjuncts.
  3. Recognize critical cardiac dysrhythmias.
