Orthognathic surgery in a patient with a cleft deformity can be a rewarding endeavor. With the right treatment planning, safe, stable and predictable outcomes can be achieved. This session will include education on different methods and tools applicable to performing cleft orthognathic surgery. Four speakers will each speak on a different subtopic, highlighting various algorithms and aspects for successfully determining and treating cleft-affected orthognathic patients.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss various techniques and algorithms that can be employed in the treatment of cleft orthognathic patients.
  2. Highlight research-based and clinical outcomes to help guide practitioners for safe and predictable surgical outcomes.
  3. Demonstrate education on various aspects of cleft orthognathic surgery including distraction, bone grafting and surgical staging.
