Join KLS Martin at the AAOMS Annual Meeting for its free symposium on IPS® Preprosthetic: an innovative dental rehabilitation approach to overcome the most challenging scenarios. Patients with significantly atrophic jaws and defects following ablative tumor treatment and post-traumatic and congenital jaw deformities often do not allow for traditional dental implant rehabilitation; within this patient group the unfavorable skeletal pseudoclass Ill relationship remains the greatest challenge. 3D planning and manufacturing technologies have enabled a new non-augmentative preprosthetic surgical treatment via an individual patient solution (IPS®) approach. Unlike previous subperiosteal implants, these implants are additively manufactured from 3D imaging data and have a “one fit only” functionalized design with unsurpassed primary stability due to multivector rigid fixation.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Detect and prevent possible complications by defining adequate treatment protocols for dental rehabilitation in severe cases.
  2. Use the combination of clinical judgement and 3D planning to allow for efficient collaboration among biomedical engineers and clinical specialists.
  3. Assess the dimensional needs, biological requirements, adequate implant designs and prosthodontic plan for the individual patient.
  4. Implement alternative treatment views in severe cases of dental rehabilitation in congenital or acquired deformity cases to minimize the invasiveness of overall treatment.
  5. Understand the restorative and reconstructive indications for use of IPS® Preprosthetic.
